Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017: The 5 Things I Bought (So Far)
Today I hit up Nordstrom at Oakbrook Mall to return a dress, annnnd to spend the money I got back on some Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 swag, obviously. Normally I try to hit up the Anniversary Sale on the Saturday I return from my vacation that always seems to fall over #NSale, but I had something going on so I wasn’t able to get there as quickly. And while it’s always good to get to the sale on the first day because the inventory is best (and you all aren’t sick of a million blogger Nordstrom posts yet), I actually ended up trying on some items that I wouldn’t have before because most of what I picked wasn’t available in store due to selling out or specific store inventory selection.
All the items pictured below came home with me, but I’m posting my dressing room selfies because, well, it’s just more me than the set up photoshoots I was doing for personal style for a bit. Plus I wanted to get the deets to you ASAP before the pieces are sold out. But they are all upstairs, in my big ‘ole Nordstrom bag waiting for fall. And honestly, this is way more than I’ve ever bought at #NSale. Normally the items start to look redundant to me, but this year I love the fresh, new selection of lower priced styles.
So without further adieu, here are a few looks I created and bought based around with 2 items I loved: A denim skirt and a basic tee. I included my sizing for reference. Please comment with any questions and happy shopping! And yes, I’m getting back to Housewives fashion as you read…
Click Here to Shop the Trouve Leopard Print Blazer: This piece is soooo much better on than on the model, I’m obsessed! Mine is a size small (I’m generally about a Medium right now), and the model is wearing a larger size so the peplum doesn’t flare. It is SO much cuter in a more fitted size and it zips as well as buttons, so there’s a cute asymmetrical flap if it’s left unbuttoned a bit. It’s actually very Alexander McQueen and I LOVE the print. I’d call it more of a jacket than a blazer, and it’s so so cute.

It is SO comfortable—and curve hugging—as you would expect with a line designed by a Kardashian. I previously tried on some Good American jeans that I loved but didn’t buy, and think that I may go back for more. I’m wearing a size 8, which means it runs pretty true to contemporary sizing (i.e. a tad bit on the small side).

This is a look at what’s under that leopard jacket above! Thanks (or no thanks) to Valentino and lack of time to work out, I’ve gained some newly found curves in the mid-section of my body and both of these pieces are great for hi-lighting them. I’m obsessed with the light-weight layering tee that comes in 3 colors. I plan to pair this with a logo belt and bootie for a super cute look, although I don’t hate it with some sneaks. Again, I’m wearing a Medium top and Size 8 skirt (read more on sizing above).
Okay so this is my basic look from above with a little, lightweight, military inspired coat over it. I owe credit to the Sales Associate from Nordstrom who suggested the jacket to complete the look, as I wouldn’t have thought to pick the coat up from the rack. I actually loooove it as it, with my sneaks that I wore shopping. Such a cute look for a fall day!

Okay so I only tried this on to show you guys because it’s essentially the shirt Cameran Eubanks’ wore on Southern Charm with a different tag sewn into it. However, I actually ended up buying it, much to my surprise. I obviously wouldn’t rock it with sneakers, but it’s a super cute top at a great price. I didn’t buy the jeans, but put them on for reference. I bought a size Medium and it’s definitely not super tight, so doesn’t run very small.

Annnnd back to the basic, one more time. I just wanted to show you how good it looks with my cutoffs that I wore to the store because it’s so thin and slouchy! It’s super thin and sexy but doesn’t show rolls if you have them (assuming you are wearing the right undergarments and size, mine is M).
