….Okay technically I cheated on the “Winter” part, because it was almost 70 degrees in Chicago today, so it wasn’t exactly winter. However, thank you Mother Nature for choosing to make it warm during a year where white after Labor Day is a must! And I digress….Today I color blocked my white peplum with a black shoe, in suede, and a black quilted purse with a gold chain. When it got chilly I threw on a black blazer, which complemented the look and kept me warm. Winter (Fall) white is a great way to be chic and step up your wardrobe this season, and most definitely worth a try.
Note: The key to wearing “winter white” is to make sure the actual focal piece is a thick, non-summery fabric. Then make your other items in heavy fabrics (ie suede and leather) and color block with a dark color, like black. Add some gold in to the look to keep it on trend.
Even more special? I got to wear it to see my new adorable Godson, Leo, get baptised. His white gown put mine to shame. Congrats to him and his wonderful parents!
