Lauren Wirkus’ gold disk necklace (similar to Amanda Batula and Amanda’s cute mom’s matching necklace) is cute and super affordable. It is sometimes funny to me how much people will spend on simple pieces of jewelry. Or even more complex ones, when there is such cute jewelry out there that is affordable and won’t make you cry if you lose it! I mean, I guess people could say the same things about bags and shoes, of which I have a few college tuition’s worth…

I also envy people who aren’t too lazy to put themselves together in the morning, particularly after a hangover and early in the morning. It is a rare day when I have to go to work, wake up, take the dogs out, work out, and still have time and/or energy to put on a matching necklace or earrings to complete my look. I really do struggle with this and try to push myself, but I guess lipstick would be a baby step in the right directly, let alone jewelry. But maybe for this little number, I’d make that effort!
