Lauren Loves: Pastel Pink Maternity Denim For Day and Night
When dressing as a preggo, I definitely want to make the most of the pieces I have. At this point I’ve only got a couple months left and I’m not looking to spend money on a new outfit for each day or event. So, I’ve been working on using my pieces for day and night and dressing them up and down accordingly, and with these pastel maternity jeans it’s a super easy task. In fact, I just took the same outfit and threw on some of my fave “trend” sneakers for daytime and then dressed it up with sequins, heels and a clutch for night and was good to go!
If you’re not sure about wearing “skinny” maternity jeans in a light color—which I think are a total must have for a chic preggo this season—layering with a blazer and top that both hit at least mid thigh will save your look. I’ve talked about this A TON, but you’d be shocked at the way a great jacket or blazer can create a slimmer silhouette. I’ve learned to swear by this during this pregnancy, and will totally carry it through to my post-maternity style.
So when it comes to Summer 2016 maternity fashion, don’t be afraid to dress it up, dress it down, layer it up and wear pastels to stay looking current!
