Why I love this look: I have always had major love for the bell bottom / flare trend of the 60’s and 70’s so always have a few pairs in my closet. I’m super excited that they’re totally on-point this year so I have more options of which to buy! They can be dressed up with a blazer or blouse and dressed down with a tee. The key to it is wearing them with heels or a platform shoe that isn’t visible when you are walking because it makes your legs look a mile long. The hem should just brush the ground without making major contact! My denim pair is easy to pull this off with because it is available in “long”, and I had to improvise a bit with the faux leather pair as they only came in “regular” length and I am 5″9 without heels.
Where this trend works: Fall 2015’s flared pant trend can be worn just about anywhere. I wore both looks to shows during New York Fashion week SS 2016 and then did a repeat of the denim flares at lunch at Soho House in Chicago.
Inspiration: My inspo is totally Rachel Zoe! She does a flare and blazer like no other in addition to rocking the fab leather pants that inspired my all black look. I was also inspired by a fashion blogger I really admire, Mary Seng from Happily Grey who first wore the denim flares I featured below.

After about 5 years of covering celebrity fashion, I’ve only shown you a small fraction of my rather large closet and fashion knowledge. That being said, I’ve decided to dive in to a new “Lauren Loves” features on BigBlondeHair.com. I’ll focus on my outfits, reviews, and Chicago favorites and events. Reviews are unpaid (unless notated Sponsored) and are my own opionion . Please feel free to comment with questions about sizing, retailers, styling or anything else. Xo & Happy Reading
