Why I love this look: As I have mentioned before I LOVE 60’s and 70’s fashion, so fringe is a total go-to for me. This season’s hippie-eque trends (ie suede, fringe, super wide flares) are total faves for me. When I saw this fringe cardigan I knew had to grab it and create a look around it! I wanted to play things somewhat safe so I wore it with all black and a bold, gold belt for a little statement pop. In retrospect I could have spiced it up a bit for NYFW, but I knew this wouldn’t end up on any worst dressed lists :-)!
Also, my hair was done by Ivan Torres from the celeb loved Christo Fifth Ave (via Caravan Stylist Studio at the Gregory) who gave me the insane pony pictured in about 10-15 minutes!
Where I wore it: I wore it to the Idan Cohen SS16 Runway show—one of my fave NYFW shows— and then to the Shopstyle Showroom at Ramscale Studio where I had fun posing, sipping and shopping with other bloggers! The view from their showroom was picturesque and had an amazing view of Manhattan that was a great backdrop.
In “real life” back in Chicago I plan to wear this fringe cardigan EVERYWHERE, especially over my new fave flare jeans. I want to create some looks with it that aren’t just all black and I think it can be dressed up or down.
Inspiration: Most of my NYFW looks were entirely inspired by Rachel Zoe! While the dress and boots weren’t in this case, the jacket was. She also was spotted at NYFW wearing a fringe cardigan from her yet-to-launch Resort 2016 collection at Day 5 of NYFW. Of course she pulled off the pairing with a perfect chic-yet-boho-edge that gave me inspo for my next look to create with this cardigan!
