Why I love this look: There are SO many things I love about this look. First, I’m huge on a crop top with good coverage and a skirt. I don’t do enough crunches for tiny crops, so this is a great, more mature way to wear the trend. Second, I’m obsessed with a jewel embellished collar and this one is gorge. I’d wear it with a skirt or a high waisted pant. Third, the skirt’s texture is so pretty. I love the detailing on it because it makes the piece stand even though the outfit is black on black (my fave color scheme ;-)).
Where I wore it: On the street in the garment district in New York. I love shooting pics in New York because I feel that, although Chicago is a big city, when I take pics here people are more affected by it, partly because because fashion isn’t as prevalent. In New York you can be on the street shooting photos, dressed to the nines and people don’t look twice because there is a Naked Cowboy 50 feet away. Everyone is so busy and there are things that are out of the ordinary all the time so they just don’t care! That is one of the things I love about New York and New Yorkers! Outside of this shoot, I think it’s the perfect look for a wedding.
Inspiration: The streets of New York of course! There’s also a little bit of a blonde Audrey Hepburn vibe going on. In addition, this is a brand see on the Real Housewives of New York so I can’t leave them out of this!

After about 5 years of stalking celebrity fashion, I’ve only shown you a small fraction of my rather large closet and fashion knowledge. That being said, I’ve decided to dive in to a new “Lauren Loves” feature on BigBlondeHair.com. Every week, you can expect new outfit posts of my finds inspired by celebrities as well as my own taste. I’ll feature everything from Saint Laurent to Forever 21 and tell you why I love it all. I own it all, so please feel free to comment with questions about sizing, retailers, styling or anything else.
