Why I love this look: I’m a blazer girl, but I’ve been there done that on a traditional black blazer. This cape provides the perfect put-together pants look.One of my fave big, bold, statement necklaces and a coated, denim legging was a simple way to dress the look up a bit for night! Also, my tan from Leah Chavie Skincare Boutique in Lincoln Park was still giving me a glow 6 days later (see my full review here).
Where this look works: I wore it for a night out at Chicago’s Jazzin’ at the Shedd, but have also worn this cape to lunch with a friend and to the office!
Inspiration: My inspiration is a few-fold on this! First, Kyle Richards wore the jacket on last season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I liked it, but it wasn’t a must have for me at that point. It re-appeared in my life when co-owner of luxe blow dry bar DreamDry was wearing it when I met her a few weeks back (see my Dream Dry review here), and it totally inspired me to buy this back-in-stock style. I loved the way she styled it, so did something similar. This piece is also inspired by my own love of a blazer and skinny jean!
