Lauren Loves: A Black Choker Dress
Call me a child of the 80’s—because I am one—but I love the choker trend. I’m not into jeweled chokers at this point, which all could change, but a black fabric choker or one attached to a dress is right up my alley. And thanks to maternity style inspo of celebs like Kim Kardashian (yes, I said Kim Kardashian and inspo in the same sentence) and Chrissy Teigen, I feel way more comfortable pairing my new fave trends with a tight dress than I did during my last pregnancy. Last week, when we took these pics I was 17 weeks, and was squeezing into my normal dresses. But since then I’ve definitely “popped” so the bump is way more visible, you’ll see it’s about there in the final pic of this shoot! Black dresses to tend to camouflage it well if you’re ever trying for that.
In terms of styling tight dresses, whether your preggo or not, I think this season’s long, flowing trenches and long vests help cover imperfections. From here on out you’ll see me wearing more of these items with dresses to cover my growing booty and cut in on my hips slimming my silhouette while showing off my bump!.
Photographer @TekStiles took these photos of me at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, which I had never been to before. The design of the museum is very cool and the Pop Art exhibit is awesome. They were kind enough to allow us to shoot there, so a big thank you to them for that! I definitely recommend checking the current exhibits out, it out if you haven’t.

After about 6 years of covering celebrity fashion, I’ve only shown you a small fraction of my rather large closet and fashion knowledge. That being said, I’ve decided to dive in to a new “Lauren Loves” features on BigBlondeHair.com. I’ll focus on my outfits, reviews, and Chicago favorites and events. Reviews are unpaid (unless notated Sponsored) and are my own opinion . Please feel free to comment with questions about sizing, retailers, styling or anything else. Xo & Happy Reading
