Why I love this look: My style goes between urban, boho and structured an sophisticated, depending on the occasion. It’s a huge range, but I love them all. As a blogger I’m trying to hone in on one so I have a distinct style, but really am still figuring out what defines me and am not sure I want to narrow it down.
This look is city inspired and easy. It’s comfortable but stands out among a crowd. Plus, the tee and shoes are under $20 and denim is under $100 (it’s my fave, I know you all have seen this pair many times!). My thick chain necklace is a staple that I wear ALL the time, and it’s pretty much the only silver necklace I wear. It’s so much more substantial than other link necklaces I’ve seen, which I love. It comes in gold too which I need to add to my collection! And the sunnies—you know the deal on those.
Where I wore it: To work! I loved wearing this yesterday walking through a sea of suits and work dresses in Chicago yesterday to my office thinking about how I used to have other people making the rules for what I wore to work. Now after working hard and creating my own business with Big Blonde Hair I make my own dress code! It really solidifies why working full time on the blog while staying home with my son full time was worth all of the work. And I’ll admit, I also wore this look (with heels) for drinks to RM Champagne and Nelcotte with friends last week. If Princess Kate can double dip on a good look, so can I!
Inspiration: Oddly enough, I loved a black and white grid dress Camille Grammer wore on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last season that I was never able to identify! Otherwise I was just inspired by city vibes and my own closet.

Also in my closet:
After about 5 years of stalking celebrity fashion, I’ve only shown you a small fraction of my rather large closet and fashion knowledge. That being said, I’ve decided to dive in to a new “Lauren Loves” feature on BigBlondeHair.com. Every week, you can expect a new outfit post of my finds inspired by celebrities as well as my own taste. I’ll feature everything from Saint Laurent to Forever 21 and tell you why I love it all. I own it all, so please feel free to comment with questions about sizing, retailers, styling or anything else. Xo & Happy Reading
