Dorit Kemsley’s long red and pink palm print robe dress is actually not a robe at all as I thought, it’s a dress, and although I may be wrong, I could swear she’s wearing it with pink slippers. This pajama inspired trend is causing all kinds of confusion this year in Beverly Hills. One retailer styled Kyle Richards gold beaded jacket from New York as a robe, causing some Instagram disapproval. Kyle wore zebra print pajamas during the day to a BBQ at Teddi’s house. The only thing that has really been clearly worn by the “rules” was Dorit’s Gucci silk pajama inspired set, although perhaps not clear to thousands of Vegas tourists wondering why that hot blonde was in her PJ’s.

A lesson from this? Fashion is interpretive and you should wear things how you want, as it’s all about the attitude. These confident women probably didn’t think twice about people mistaking PJs for a dress and vice versa, and we’d all be none the wiser (well, we wouldn’t be without the prying eyes of BBH, that is.) Now if you’ll excuse me I’ll be shopping for items to wear around the house that make me look as sexy as Dorit.
