Ashley Darby’s orange purse she brought to therapy was perhaps the only bright thing about that scene. It was devastating to watch her be so honest with her therapist. And I love her therapist because at the end of the day, she straight up told Ashley that clearly Michael doesn’t want to have kids. I do not think Ashley is completely clueless—I think she knows what she’s doing. The term “lillypad” has been used for a lot of housewives, in that they use the show as a jumping platform to self sustaining single hood, and I have a feeling we will see Ashley in that position soon enough. If not a mom, she will be a kick butt entrepreneur!
