Ashley Darby’s baby milestone chalkboard at her debut penthouse party for the sip-n-see for baby Dean did not get the attention it should have. Maybe it’s because the chalkboard was just leaning up against the couch and pure background noise to the Candiace show? Anyway, I still love a good baby milestone display, probably even more than the monthly age blanket photo ops you see all over social media. Although, I did see a play off of the blanket shot but way more creative—a pizza box and a slice for each month next to the baby. But, I love pizza and out of the box ideas. To be fair, Ashley’s arrow and leaf designed milestone chalkboard does communicate far more information than how many slices of pizza equals the kid’s age.

The favorite song listed on the chalkboard for baby Dean does confuse me a bit. I didn’t know John Mayer had a song called Radio. I even Googled it and scoured Spotify for it only to have wasted 4.5 minutes of my life I will never get back. Ok, for real though, I spent more time than that and I still don’t have an answer. Does the song exist or not and why do I feel like I need to know so badly? Even Siri came up empty. And if Siri doesn’t know, then I don’t even know what to say. And if that song by John Mayer doesn’t exist, what on earth is baby Dean’s favorite song? And if it is indeed the John Mayer radio station on say, Spotify, shouldn’t that be clarified? That wouldn’t classify as a song. Clearly, I’m spiraling and I need a chalkboard to organize my thoughts.
