Al Roker’s Green Winter Coat on the Today Show

Christmas Gift Alert! Al Roker’s green winter coat on the Today Show this morning will keep you warm in the arctic (or in Chicago), guaranteed. My husband and I jumped on this bandwagon super early, because these coats were necessary to survive the polar vortex a few years ago. Ok not “necessary” but suuuuuuper helpful while waiting for the bus to try to make it through the snow to the stop. It was the craziest winter ever!

You’ve seen this symbol everywhere. Al’s coat, the “Expedition,” is a “level 5” of this brand, which means that it is the warmest coat you can get that’s “field tested for the coldest places on earth” according to the website at -25 degrees and below. My husband literally feels like he is wearing a radiator inside his coat when he wears this, which can be good depending on your tolerance for heat! Mine is also a level 5 and goes down to my toes. Fun fact: The style I have is called the Mystique. The brand was asked to make Rebecca Romjin (a major housewives fan!) a long, warm coat while filming X-Men in Canada because she was essentially filming naked with blue paint on her body.

Here in Chicago people are huge fans of this brand. It’s quite pricey but worth it. There are tons of styles and levels that are appropriate for whatever climate you’re in, so definitely check it out! Shoutout to Lauren’s dad, who I heard loves the legendary Al Roker!
