Abby McCarthy’s grey sweater and over the knee boots was a good distraction from the heavy subject. Usually one to wear a super fitted dress with amazing accessories, this is the most “me” look Abby has worn all season, maybe in the entire show. A baggy sweater and tall boots are totally my ideal fall outfit, and today in Chicago the weather calls for exactly that. I am still wearing a summer dress though, just to stretch summer out as long as possible.

This time of year in Chicago, fashion is really fun to watch. There are people with their winter down jackets on, with boots and a hat, and then there are those holding on to hope with sandals and a sun dress. Then there are those guys who wear the same cargo shorts all year round. Yikes! Abby’s sweater is super cozy so we pulled out some great style stealers for you. Her boots, a classic style that’s been around for ages (I had the same pair in college), has been elevated to over the knee. This is a piece worth investing in, since they still have a heel but are perfectly comfortable to walk in.
