Despite the circumstances, Abby McCarthy’s black leather backpack was the perfect thing to tote and travel here and there. With a main pocket and a side zipper, this cult favorite has come in a few sizes, colors and materials and has recently gotten a face lift for an updated version. Tackling quite a hard subject, Abby is going through a lot with her dad (and mom). This show amazes me in how it can really touch on all of life’s issues in just one episode. In fact, this episode left me with my mouth almost as open as the second to last Game of Thrones Episode every season (Red Wedding, Battle of the Bastards, Etc.).

So lets chat on a lighter note. Everyone loves their favorite backpack (a la 10 Things I Hate About You). If a classic Prada isn’t your first choice, this one should be the second. My super fashion forward mother in law and sister in law both have one which I covet every time I see it. I have been on the lookout for the perfect backpack so I included some of my favorites below. As far as I’m concerned, a backpack has always been and will always be in style.
