Gina Kirschenheiter’s patch varsity jacket with her kids isn’t the only thing I like about the OC’s newest East Coast transplant. When she talked about how in New York you’ll walk by 10 people and only 4 will say hi, but in Orange County 7 out of 10 will smile and say hi and then talk s*it behind your back, this is a sentiment I so agree with. Everyone says people in the Midwest are soooo nice, but it’s totally the same thing! People are the same here as anywhere, they just say things behind your back and not to your face, totally not my jam. This is why I love me a New Yorker—you know exactly where you stand and they aren’t afraid to speak up. And as we saw at dinner, this New Yorker definitely isn’t afraid to express her opinion.
