Grace Adler’s blue floral dress she wore to the wedding this evening is just stunning. The layers, the flowy fabric, the neck tie, the color, just wow. Made by one of my very favorite whimsical designers, it also looked great with her red hair. Definitely a great “something blue” to wear to a wedding!

What do you wear to weddings now? My husband insisted that our wedding be black tie. We compromised and our invitation said “bow ties and dancing shoes” with a little bow tie logo in the bottom right corner. People no longer wear the strict tux/black gown combo to a black tie. Every year I go to a “black tie” gala and anything goes. Except diamonds. This gala requires diamonds. It’s for the Lurie’s Children’s Hospital board and this year they raised over $4 million at the auction at the gala alone- so… diamonds.
