Celebrity Maternity Style: The LBD Seen on Gwen Stefani
As you know, most of my maternity style has been modeled after current celebrity maternity style and fashion trends. After all, they pay top dollar for stylists, and why wouldn’t the rest of us want to use their inspo to reap the benefits?! So today’s look is an exact dress seen on Gwen Stefani (and also model Coco Rocha), that retails for only $69.
I chose this dress because while some people want to always be bright and bold during pregnancy, I feel that you can never underestimate the power of an LBD. At this point I’m just about 8 months along and 30lbs up, and there are days when I want to look a bit slimmer (like everyday at this point), and many of those days I’ve been pulling out this dress! The arm coverage and color definitely create a slimming illusion, and though I love how Gwen Stefani styled it with a blazer, I’ve been wearing it alone because of the heat. The fabric is fairly breathable so it hasn’t caused me to overheat, but because of that fact I’ve also been wearing my fave Mama Spanx to nip and tuck a bit depending on where I’m going.
I’ve kept the look simple and Audrey Hepburn-ish with minimal accessories aside from my over-sized sunnies and black tote. I’ve dressed it up with denim heels (below) and have also worn it casually with my Adidas Superstars (and big gold hoops for edge) or Chanel espadrilles when I have to walk from the train on work days, or even to my sons baseball game. This is a look absolutely anyone can pull off and I highly recommend giving it a try!

Afer about 6 years of covering celebrity fashion, I’ve only shown you a small fraction of my rather large closet and fashion knowledge. That being said, in 2015 I decided to dive in to a new “Lauren Loves” feature on BigBlondeHair.com. It focuses on my outfits, reviews, Chicago favorites and events. Reviews are unpaid (unless notated Sponsored) and are my own opionion. Please feel free to comment with questions about sizing, retailers, styling or anything else. Xo & Happy Reading
